** Please ** click this link and read. There is a bill trying to be passed through the NY State Assembly that will mandate all vaccinations including the recommended infant and toddler vaccine schedule, yearly flu shots and the highly controversial (and barely tested) HPV vaccine for young girls. I'm not sure of all the details but none of it sounds good.

And on a happier note ... I found the most gorgeous hanging baskets yesterday for $15 each! They are huge, beautiful, blooming baskets of petunias. Here's a really bad photo, but at least you can see how huge they are.

And there's a photo of my flower planter in the front yard. I got all these flowers two weeks ago and put them into this metal planter I fill every year.

If you're looking for flowers, go to Farmer Bill and Annie's. Bill is hugely helpful and very friendly. Its only 5 miles out of Canton. Totally work the gas.

  1. That vaccine bill sounds scary. I know a lot of states mandate vaccines for attending school, which is ridiculous in and of itself, but I haven't heard of any other states trying to force vaccinations on all children. I honestly have never heard of a child dying, or even becoming seriously ill, because of not being vaccinated. Clearly drug companies have some pretty good (or bad, depending on your viewpoint) lobbyists. I wish I lived there so I could protest.

  2. Beautiful. The hanging baskets of gorgeous color have always made the porch look even better. (when we first bought it; it was closed in, can you imagine?
So glad the girls liked their stuff. Grampa asked me when he first came home if they got the package and how Lael liked the shirts and shorts he picked out :-)
