What I've been up to:

-- Getting my newest gadget set up the way I like it. There are some really creative people that have made some amazing apps. My favorites so far? Bible. Is (I have this on my iPhone and iPad. The girls love to listen to the dramatic readings, they are really good.) Allrecipes, Epicurious, kidpaint and Montessorium (both of which are on sale for $.99 right now). The girls love it just as much as I do. My current search is for a good homeschool planning app...

-- Looking into our curriculum choices for next year. Now that Addie is set in a decent nap routine, I'm ready to get back to a more Charlotte Mason based curriculum for history and science. The front runners right now are Beautiful Feet for history with Apologia for science and My Father's World Exploration to 1850. I'm definitely doing early American history but as for which curriculum would be a better fit for us - I'm torn. We're also switching math for both girls and language/spelling for Alyssa.

-- Battling cloth diaper and rash issues. I'm trying to determine what's causing the stink in our diapers and if that is the cause of Addie's diaper rash. Our front loader washer is on it's last leg and leaking water terribly. I really wanted this washer to last for a few more months but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Anyone selling a used top loader?

-- Trying to get a chore schedule going again. not succeeding.

-- Cleaning in hopes of stopping the dreaded stomach bug at Lauren. She is her usual bouncy self this morning and I'm hoping to eliminate the germs quickly.

-- Organizing our closet. As usual, our master bedroom closet became the catch-all during this last move. I finally got it cleaned out, organized and some winter clothes put away.

-- Enjoying baking and cooking again.

-- Watching the snow fly. Yes, it's snowing right now.

  1. So fun to hear about your curriculum choices. I was chatting with Brietta, and Abby on facebook and they mentioned that you might have used Switched On Schoolhouse this year. I was curious if you liked it and what subjects did you use it for?
