This is my newest fashion accessory. Hot, right?!

Or maybe not.

I sprained my ankle this past weekend. Doctors orders are to stay off my feet for 2-3 days. Hubby's orders are off my feet as much as possible for 5 days. I would be lying if I said its fun for me to sit in the couch all day. When Josh was home and we watched football together - yes, fun. Sitting here, trying to manage the girls and their daily responsibilities from the couch - not fun. Trying to delegate my daily responsibilities to two oldest girls that have already been pushed to their limit with all the time I've been taking to work on the new house - really, really not fun.

But we are managing. Day two is under way and going along with only a few small bumps in the road.

It's also this darling girl's 2nd birthday.

We adore our AddieBoo. She is such a happy, sweet girl. Her eventful entrance into the world seems like a distant memory most days. I'm so, so thankful she is my baby girl.

With today being the beginning of a new month, I've decided to join in to Ann's October Joy Dare. Would you care to join me? I'll be tweeting my gifts each day so if you want to join in or follow along, you can click the Twitter button in the right hand sidebar.

And lastly, I read this blog today. I have been freshly aware of my tendency to teach morality rather than teaching a love for Jesus. And now, I see my morality teaching trickling down to my older girls and how the interact with my younger girls. This is a dangerous, slippery slope that I'm trying to get away from. I want my girls to know that we are asking them to behave in a certain way not because it's my preference but because we are trying to uphold God's Standard in our hearts and home. I want the to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord. Not just a manner worthy of the good citizen badge or a manner worthy of a pat on the back but worthy of His high calling on their lives.

For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.
Colossians 1:9-12
