That is interesting. While I am not opposed to the development of renewable energy sources (I don't really think too many people would have a problem with that), I think it is a bit ridiculous for people to argue for "protecting" nature (even if that nature is mostly barren) over protecting our nation's economy. I guess, to me, it is along the same lines as women sterilizing themselves to reduce their carbon footprint. Since when did self-preservation become politically incorrect?
