The Veep

I'm not so foolish as to think that my God has only made one path for women. Her path looks nothing like mine. I don't think that makes it wrong or makes her less of a mom, less of a candidate or less of a Christian. She loves her kids and her country. And thanks to some research, I think she loves Jesus.

Palin installed a travel crib in her Anchorage office and a baby swing in her Juneau one. For much of the summer, she carried Trig in a sling as she signed bills and sat through hearings, even nursing him unseen during conference calls.

"To any critics who say a woman can't think and work and carry a baby at the same time," she said, "I'd just like to escort that Neanderthal back to the cave." -- source

I like this lady. Let's pray she makes it into the White House.

  1. I like that she is first a mother, and is not embarrassed or apologetic but proudly cares for her children. Motherhood is a noble calling, and she seems to know it.

  2. I like her too, a lot. I'm very excited that she could be our VP and Cindy McCain could be the First Lady. That would be bringing some dynamite women who are women to Washington D.C., let me tell you!

  3. I guess I will be the dissenter. It honestly isn't that I don't "like" her, necessarily, but I suppose I do have more of a narrow view of what a mother of five should be doing...and since I am being honest, I will admit, too, that I think the fact that her 17 yr old daughter is pregnant is not a raving endorsement of her parenting (though I do understand that children make mistakes apart from how they were raised). I agree she is much more favorable than the alternative, and her positions are mostly ones I agree with as well, I guess I just don't see in her what others seem to see. Not to be a naysayer, though...and no offense at all intended, just my 2 cents.
